These young French companies could change the way you travel

For the past two years, the France Tourisme Tech program, an initiative launched by the Ministry of the Economy, has been accelerating innovation in the travel industry by connecting promising start-ups with key players in the sector. The objective: to modernize and enhance the travel experience through cutting-edge technology. In 2025, ten start-ups were selected (down from fifteen the previous year), following stricter criteria focused on environmental and social impact. The winners benefit from a year of personalized support, strategic guidance, and high-level networking opportunities with industry leaders and investors.

Among the standout selections is Fairlyne, a French start-up tackling the common frustration of non-refundable tickets. Its white-label platform allows travelers to resell train bookings they can no longer use, already live with OUIGO, and helps reduce financial loss for passengers while maximizing seat occupancy. Fairlyne now plans to expand the service to include hotel bookings, continuing its mission to bring flexibility and fairness to the travel experience.
